샤먼 대학교의 중국학 프로그램은 1921 년 창립 이래 오랜 역사를 가지고 있습니다. 루쉰 (Lu Xun)과 린 유탕 (Lin Yutang) 같은 유명한 학자들이 샤먼대학의 교직원이었습니다. 샤먼대학교의 중국학 프로그램은 9 개의 연구 기관과 15 개의 연구 센터로 구성된 인문학 대학의 지원을 받습니다. 샤먼은 중국의 사회 및 경제 역사 연구 및 도교 연구와 같은 많은 양질의 학술 저널을 발간합니다.
"National Talents Training and Research Base for Fundamental Studies in Humanities"와 중국 교육부의 "National Quality Courses" 공급자라는 영광을 얻었으며 교육의 제공에있어서 선두주자로 앞장서고 있습니다.
